Adding Value and Driving Growth
Atlantic Gateway works with partners to agree on shared priorities and issues that will drive growth. It works across conventional boundaries and brings partners together with a long term interest in the success of the Atlantic Gateway area.
Atlantic Gateway has helped to secure funding and break down barriers associated with several major developments and initiatives including the Mersey Gateway Bridge, the Port of Liverpool, Sci-Tech Daresbury, the Port Salford and the development of a strategic approach to transport across the North.
A 2016 stakeholder survey confirmed that 71% believe that Atlantic Gateway has had a positive effect on raising the profile of long term growth opportunities in the area. 86% agree that the Atlantic Gateway brand has a good resonance with government and adds significant value to the region. It continues to support the development of a Northern Powerhouse and investment programmes that will attract investment in the Atlantic Gateway area and the North of England.
The Atlantic Gateway proposal will be strengthened by having strong well developed investable propositions, a central point of contact for Atlantic Gateway and robust financial and economic intelligence underpinning propositions.
